Online Library Services Unavailable Aug. 9-10

AMHERST, Mass. – Some online services offered by UMass Amherst Libraries will be unavailable beginning Friday, Aug. 9 at 4 p.m., because of work on an electrical upgrade in the W.E.B. Du Bois Library.
Services that will be affected include:
  • Five College Library catalog
  • Electronic Reserves, including streamed films and clips offered through Reserves
  • WorldCat Local
  • E-journals and databases
  • Interlibrary Loan
  • Digital collections
  • Subject research guides
  • Citation linker
  • Library scanners and photocopiers
It is expected that the Five College Library catalog and Electronic Reserves, including streaming services, will be restored by midday on Saturday, Aug. 10. Availability of other networked services will follow later that day. 
The Du Bois Library will be open its regular hours on Friday, Aug. 9 and Saturday, Aug. 10.  The Science and Engineering Library also will be open regular hours on Friday, Aug. 9.
