The Office of Informational Technologies (OIT) is offering a security clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. in the Learning Commons in the Du Bois Library.
Students, faculty and staff can bring their laptop or desktop computer to the clinic for a security checkup by OIT Help Desk staff, who will guide participants through the simple processes used by OIT and other industry professionals to fix compromised computers and protect them in the future.
Valuable tools and instructions for use at the security clinic and afterward will also be shared.
Those bringing a desktop computer do not need to bring a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Help Desk Services will supply them.
Additional clinics are scheduled for Oct. 16 and 23.
