Terese Ann Murphy, 90, of Amherst, a retired longtime clerk in Continuing Education, died March 8.
Born Feb. 20, 1927, she was raised in the suburbs of Boston and joined the university in 1961 as a clerk in agricultural communications. In 1964, she moved to university relations and in 1970 to Continuing Education, where she remained until retiring in 1991.
She earned her bachelor’s degree at the university, studying part-time while working full-time.
She was predeceased by her former husband, Joseph A. Keohan. She leaves her daughters Jan (Keohan) Kopinto and husband Charles, of South Deerfield and Terese (Keohan) Moorhead and husband Paul, of Lathrup Village, Michigan.
Memorial donations may be made to UMass Meals on Wheels (Amherst Senior Center) and the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
