Raymond W. Bradford, 87, formerly of South Deerfield, a retired campus accountant, died July 26 at the Northampton Nursing Home.
Born in Williamsburg, he attended local schools, graduating from the former Williamsburg High School and the former Northampton Commercial College.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a captain with the 469th Antiaircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion. He saw action in the Pacific Theater.
He worked in the Accounting Department within Administration and Finance, retiring as a senior accountant in 1981 after more than 31 years of service.
He leaves his son, Dale Bradford of Conway; a brother, Wallace Bradford, of Washington; and a nephew and a niece.
