Obituary: Mildred A. Banas, retired snack bar worker

Mildred A. (Niedzwiec) Banas, 78, a retired Food Services worker, died June 12 at Sunbridge Care in Hadley.

She went to Hadley schools and worked in sales for the W.T. Grant department store in the 1960s. She was employed as a dietary worker I at the Whitmore Snack Bar for more than 12 years until her retirement in 1989.

She leaves two daughters, Joyce Bourdeau, of Pittsburgh, Maureen Tudryn, of Hadley; a brother, Kenneth Niedzwiec, of Hadley; a sister, Marion Pitchko, of Hadley; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Frank J. Banas, died earlier.
