Obituary: Edward W. Bourbeau Jr., Former Storekeeper

Edward W. Bourbeau, Jr., 90, of Jensen Beach, Florida, a former custodial storekeeper, died Dec. 2.

Born in Turners Falls on Jan. 12, 1927, he attended local schools and served in the Navy.

He was a custodial storekeeper at UMass Amherst from 1969-85. He also owned Borbeau’s Package Store in Turners Falls.

He is survived by three children, Edward W. Bourbeau, III; Margaret H. “Peggy” Cherwa of Jensen Beach, Florida; and David B. Bourbeau.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh St., Turners Falls. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Turners Falls.

A calling hour will be held Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.
