Eugene M. Chmura, 75, of Hadley, a retired accountant III, died Sept. 14 in Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
Born in Northampton, he was a lifelong Hadley resident and was educated in local schools.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired from the Accounting Office in 1989 with more than 22 years of service.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Mildred (Novak) Chmura; three sons, Edward and Stephen, both of Hatfield, and John, of Hudson, Fla., and two daughters, Annie Donnis, of Hatfield, and Jean Sullivan, of Sunderland; a brother and a sister.
The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8:15 a.m. from the Drozdal Funeral Home in Hadley, with a Mass at 9 a.m. in Most Holy Redeemer Church.
Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, in Hadley.
Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 16 from 5-8 p.m.
