Obituary: Charlene Butterworth, retired EDP operator

Charlene E. Butterworth, 63, of Whately, a retired electronic data processing operator who worked for several offices on campus, died July 1 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Born in Montague, she was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Frontier Regional High School.

During her campus career, she was employed in the Department of Plant Pathology, Physical Plant and the Employment Office. She retired in 2002.

She leaves her sister Jeanne Reinle, brother-in-law James and nephew Brandon, all of Northampton, as well as many cousins and friends.

There are no calling hours.

Burial will be Wednesday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at the Howland Cemetery in Conway.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Whately Congregational Church.
