COMM 231, “Film and Television Production Concepts,” 3 credits. An introduction to film and television production principles and processes from script to screen in lecture format as preparation for hands-on production courses. The art and craft of film and video, including scripting, pre-production, production and post-production phases are explored.
COMM 265, “Democracy and Discourse,” 3 credits. Introduction to rhetorical theory and the criticism of public discourse beginning with the Western origins of rhetoric as a practical art. Contemporary contributions to theory and the critique of current public address. Prerequisites: None.
