SOCIOL 348 “Conformity and Deviance” 4 credits; Instructor: Janice Irvine; Examines the social processes of rule-making and rule-breaking, and how categories of “normal” and “deviance” change historically. Examines theories of conformity and deviance, using topics such as sexuality and politics. Prerequisites: A 100-level Sociology course.
