Men 55-70 Needed for Kinesiology Study

Researchers in the department of kinesiology ( are seeking male volunteers age 55-70 for a study of how age and physical activity history change leg strength and the way one walks.

The following criteria must be met to qualify for the study:

  • Male age 55-70
  • Healthy body weight
  • Ability to walk unaided for 40 minutes
  • No cardiovascular, respiratory or neurological problems
  • No history of major reconstructive surgery in lower limb
  • No frequent participation in strength training or vigorous exercise

Participants will be asked to complete two study visits. One visit will involve filling out questionnaires and will take approximately an hour. The second visit will be a three-hour visit during which researchers will collect strength and walking data. Between visits you will be asked to wear a small device to track exercise. Participants receive a $25 gift card upon completion of the study. They will also learn about their leg strength and walking style.
