Kevin Kittilstved, assistant professor of chemistry, has been named an “Emerging Investigator” by the Journal of Materials Chemistry A of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Kittilstved’s current research program is centered around controlling defects in multifunctional inorganic nanomaterials and molecular clusters for energy applications.
After obtaining a B.S. from Gonzaga University, he attended the University of Washington, where he received his Ph.D. in 2006. He then spent three years on a postdoctoral appointment at the Université de Genéve. Kittilstved joined the chemistry department in 2011.
