Kalmakis Reelected Mass. Representative of American Association of Nurse Practitioners

Karen Kalmakis, assistant professor in the College of Nursing, has been reelected as the state representative of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Her new term begins June 21 following the annual membership meeting at the AANP national conference in Nashville, Tenn.

AANP represents the interests of the approximately 189,000 nurse practitionersaround the country, advocating for the active role of nurse practitionersas providers of high-quality, cost-effective, comprehensive, patient-centered health care.
