A year-long project to replace aging steam lines that serve Hasbrouck Laboratory is underway, with temporary fencing to ensure pedestrian safety.

The project will include removing the existing utilities tunnel and replacing it with one with better access for future maintenance.

Over the course of the project, there will be scheduled steam shutdowns. Facilities and Campus Planning is working with building users to minimize disruptions and avoid damage to research.

For safety, construction fencing is being placed around work areas on the west side of the building, toward the Campus Center.

At the end of the project, there will be new lighting, a new patio outside the Campus Center and new access to Hasbrouck on the west side.
