Gallery hosts lecture on artist Beat Streuli

Critic and art historian Michael Fried will speak on “Beyond Street Photography: Beat Streuli” on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Flavin Family Auditorium in the Isenberg School of Management.

The talk is sponsored by the University Gallery, where large-scale video installations by Swiss artist Beat Streuli are on view through Nov. 5.

Fried is the J.R. Herbert Boone Professor of Humanities and Art History at Johns Hopkins University. He is a frequent contributor to Artforum magazine and is currently writing abook on contemporary photography.

The gallery will remain open until 6:45 p.m. on the day of Fried’s lecture.
