Members of the campus community can protect themselves and others from the flu by attending one of University Health Services’ walk-in or mobile flu clinics for UMass students and other UHS patients, or by stopping by a community clinic at the Campus Center.
For students and other UHS patients
UHS flu clinics are open to UMass Amherst students; and faculty, staff and students’ dependents whose primary care provider is at UHS.
Vaccinations are billed to patients’ health insurance; they should bring their plan ID card with them.
Walk-in flu clinics at UHS are taking place every Thursday in October and on Thursdays, Nov. 7 and 21 from 1–4 p.m. in 302 UHS.
Reduce paperwork and save time by pre-registering for a vaccination. Call 577-5101, then come to UHS during clinic hours.
Walk-in mobile clinics are scheduled Wednesdays during October and November:
• Oct. 9: North Apartments, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
• Oct. 16: Berkshire DC, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
• Oct. 23: Van Meter lobby, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
• Oct. 30: Webster lobby, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
• Nov. 13: Campus Center Reading Room, noon – 3 p.m.
• Nov. 20: Recreation Center, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Patients who already have an appointment with a UHS provider can be vaccinated at the same time – just ask.
Both injected and inhaled forms of the flu vaccine are available.
