Flags Lowered for Pearl Harbor Observance, Mandela

Gov. Deval L. Patrick has ordered that the United States and Commonwealth flags be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, Dec. 7 in honor of the those died in service to the nation at Pearl Harbor and, starting Dec. 6, in accordance with President Barack Obama’s presidential order, until Dec. 9 in honor of the late Nelson Mandela, former president of South Africa.
