The final Faculty Senate meeting of the fall semester is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 16 at 3:30 p.m. in 227 Herter Hall.
Sharon Fross, vice provost for University Outreach and director of Continuing Education, is scheduled to speak.
Michael Gargano, vice chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Life, will discuss First Choice, an early action admission program.
Business items include approval of new courses and a status report from the Ad Hoc Committee on Online Learning. The senate will also consider a report by the Academic Matters Council and the Graduate Council to require proposals to the senate be accompanied by an electronic version.
Senators will also be asked to support a study of ways to reduce textbook costs to students.
Two overseas programs will also be voted upon.
