Soprano Dana Schnitzer and guest pianist Gretchen Peery will present a faculty recital on Sunday, March 30 at 4 p.m. in Bezanson Recital Hall.
The musical program will include a world premiere by Peter Askim, songs by Hugo Wolf, and Samuel Barber’s “Knoxville Summer of 1915.”
An alumna of the music and dance department, Schnitzer holds a doctor of musical arts from Boston University and a master’s from the New England Conservatory. She has sung with the Boston Pops, Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Boston, Connecticut Lyric Opera, Commonwealth Opera and Boston Baroque, and at Tanglewood's Ozawa Hall and the Caramoor Festival. She is a member of the faculty of the Young Artists Vocal Program at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and the founder/artistic director of MetroWest Opera.
