Everywoman's Center at UMass Amherst Offers a Number of Support Groups

AMHERST, Mass. - The Everywoman’s Center at the University of Massachusetts will offer a number of groups beginning in March.

All groups are free, but prospective participants are asked to call 413/545-0883 by Fri., Feb. 13 to register for a screening interview.

The following groups will be offered:

* A Goddess in My Shoes: Increasing Self-Esteem Through Honoring the Feminine, offered Mondays from 7-9 p.m., beginning March 2, for eight weeks. Meets at the Everywoman’s Center, Wilder Hall.

* Adult Daughters of Alcoholics Group, offered Mondays from 6:30-8:30 p.m., beginning March 2, for eight weeks. Meets at the Everywoman’s Center, Wilder Hall.

* Coming Out Group for Lesbian and Bisexual Women, offered Tuesdays from 7-8:30 p.m., beginning March 3, for eight weeks. Meets at the Everywoman’s Center, Wilder Hall.

* Latinas and Self-Esteem, offered Thursdays, 4:15-6:15 p.m., beginning March 5, for eight weeks. Meets at the Everywoman’s Center, Wilder Hall.

* Learning to Accept and Love Our Bodies Through Expressive Arts, offered Thursdays, from 4-6 p.m., beginning March 5 for eight weeks. Location to be announced.

* Post-Abortion Support Group, offered Wednesdays from 5:30-7 p.m., beginning March 4 for four weeks. Meets at the Everywoman’s Center, Wilder Hall.
