Consultant to Share Preliminary Findings with Amherst’s Town-Gown Steering Committee

AMHERST, Mass. – U3 Advisors, a Philadelphia consulting firm hired by the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Town of Amherst, will share its preliminary findings with the Town-Gown Steering Committee on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 4 p.m. in the Amherst Town Hall.

U3 Advisors, in partnership with Corneil Collaborative and The Cecil Group, was chosen in April to assist the town-gown steering committee in drafting a plan to address issues, such as housing and economic development, affecting the campus and the community. The steering committee, working with the consultants, will review areas where the town and university master plans coincide, where they may be in conflict and where opportunities may have been missed. They will also look at best practices in other college communities around the country.

The meeting is open to the public.
