AMHERST, Mass. - The College of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is holding its Outstanding Alumni Awards Luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 16, in the Amherst Room on the 10th floor of the Campus Center from noon to 2 p.m. The event is open to the public and costs $25 per person.
The event includes the presentation of the college’s Outstanding Junior/Senior Alumni Awards to individuals who, through exemplary accomplishments, epitomize the potential of an education at the College of Engineering.
Recipients of the college’s 2010 Outstanding Senior Alumni Award are honored for their professional achievements, leadership and service to the profession, the university and society. This year’s award winners are: Michael G. Hluchyj, electrical and computer engineering; David C. Jeanes, civil and environmental engineering; Paul C. Washburn, III, industrial engineering, M.B.A., and William E. Woodburn, Jr., chemical engineering.
Recipients of the college’s 2010 Outstanding Junior Alumni Award are worthy ambassadors for the College of Engineering and have shown extraordinary effort and notable success in their early careers. This year’s recipients are: Alaina B. Hanlon, Ph.D., mechanical engineering; Willard S. MacDonald, electrical and computer engineering, M.S., computer science; Stephanie Raimondeau, Ph.D., chemical engineering, Joseph Watson, M.S., chemical engineering and Prabhjeet Raj Singh, M.S., civil and environmental engineering.
