Campus Pond Level Lowered for Restoration Work

The Campus Pond water level has been lowered for restoration work at its north end.

While the Campus Pond may not be its picturesque self this spring, it’s for a good cause. The water level has been temporarily lowered to allow for wetland restoration work at the pond’s north end. The work will be completed by mid-June and the water level will be brought back to normal.

Wetland plants will be installed along the banks in late July and early August, and a waterfowl fence will be installed to protect them from ducks and geese. The fence will remain until late fall or early winter when the plants have grown enough to survive.
