The campus community is invited to show its UMass pride and be part of a live TV broadcast of Boston’s Fox 25 Morning Show on the Goodell Lawn next Thursday, Oct. 24, from 6-10 a.m.
UMass Amherst has been selected to be part of the station’s College Tour Series, providing a great opportunity to showcase campus spirit and achievements. Stop by, be part of the festivities; free T-shirts will go to the first 200 visitors to the set. Hosts Elizabeth Hopkins and Brett Connolly plan to mingle with the crowd and interview students.
The show will feature live performances by student groups including the Minuteman Marching Band and Vocal Suspects, an interview with Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy, a special recipe created by Dining Services, and segments highlighting sustainability initiatives and research during the campus’ sesquicentennial year.
Free food and give-aways will be part of the festivities, provided by show sponsors Dunkin’ Donuts, Tedeschi Food Shops and Teddie Peanut Butter. A contest will be held for tickets to Screeemfest at Canobie Lake Park.
