Book Co-Authored by Two at UMass Amherst Wins Medical Writing Award
AMHERST, Mass. - A book titled "Introduction to Communication Disorders: A Multicultural Approach" (Butterworth-Heinemann, 1998), co-edited by Charlena M. Seymour and E. Harris Nober, both of the University of Massachusetts, has won a Will Solimene Award of Excellence in Medical Communication from the New England chapter of the American Medical Writers Association.
Seymour is the Graduate Dean at the University, and a former faculty member in the department of communication disorders; Nober is retiring from the department of communication disorders this year.
The two will receive the award at the chapter’s eighth annual awards banquet, to be held June 11 at the DoubleTree Guest Suites Hotel, Waltham.
