Autism Speaks 5K Race and 3K Walk Set for April 6

The 6th annual Amherst Autism Speaks 5K Run/3K Walk is being held Sunday, April 6 starting from Kendrick Park, across from Bertucci’s, in Amherst.

Registration opens at 10:30 a.m., opening ceremonies kick off at 11:30, and the race begins with a shotgun start at noon.

Students, families and community members are encouraged to participate. The registration fee is $20. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male finishers, the top three female finishers, the top individual fundraiser and the top fundraising team.

Also featured at the event is a family-friendly 3K walk, information on autism, entertainment, kids area, carnival-like activities, bounce house, food, refreshments and a raffle.

The event is sponsored by UMass Dining, Florence Savings Bank, Greenfield Savings Bank and Dominos.
