Daniel Gordon, interim dean of Commonwealth Honors College, has appointed Alexandrina Deschamps, a faculty member in women, gender, sexuality studies, associate dean of Commonwealth Honors College for the coming academic year.
Deschamps has been director of student recruitment and outreach for CHC since 2008.
Beginning in 2007 and in collaboration with undergraduate advising and learning communities, she has been co-directing the Emerging Scholars signature residential academic program (RAP) developed for academically talented, underrepresented and first-generation college students. It has been a successful pipeline for the Honors College. Deschamps will focus on working with colleagues and the campus community on inclusive excellence in CHC.
