If you find yourself sleepless at UMass, find out how changing your sleep can change your life.
Stop by the Sleep Fair, Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 1-3 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom, for activities, vendors and freebies.
Then, hear “Sleepless @ UMass,” a talk by sleep expert Rebecca Spencer from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Spencer, psychological and brain sciences, will explain what sleep does for you, what happens when you don’t get enough and how to overcome sleep challenges.
Spencer, director of the graduate program in neuroscience, has been continuously funded for sleep research by the National Institutes for Health for more than 10 years. As director of the Sleep, Cognition, and Action Lab, she currently holds more than $2 million in NIH funding for studies of sleep across the lifespan.
