‘Fractured: the Modern Nude’ Exhibited at UMCA

“Fractured: The Modern Nude,” featuring works from the permanent collection at the University Museum of Contemporary Art, will be exhibited March 27 to May 4.

An opening reception is being held Wednesday, March 26 from 5-7 p.m.

Curated by master’s degree students Brittany Mayo and Maureen McVeigh, the exhibition is the culmination of a yearlong independent project conducted in collaboration with the art history graduate program. “The Modern Nude” explores the power of parts and their visual and symbolic impact.

On Wednesday, April 2, the co-curators and Karen Kurczynski, assistant professor of art history, will take part in a gallery discussion from 5-7 p.m.
