The UMass Retired Faculty Association meeting on Wednesday, March 12 at 10 a.m. in 162 Campus Center will include two guest speakers, Professor Jon McGowan of mechanical and industrial engineering and Professor Joseph Larson of Preserve UMass.

“Green Geckskin” is the latest product trademarked by UMass Amherst from the polymer science and engineering team of Professor Al Crosby and researcher Michael Bartlett, who with others including biologist Professor Duncan Irschick, first introduced the flexible adhesive Geckskin in 2012.
Monica Au-Yeung, a teaching fellow in the College of Education’s National Science Foundation’s Noyce Foundation project, has been named a 2014 Fellow of the Dow-National Science Teachers Association’s New Science Teacher Academy, a yearlong program focused on encouraging and supporting early-career science educators.
