AMHERST, Mass. – The 2005 National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute, hosted by the Germanic languages and literatures program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, will present a film and lecture series, Changing World, Shifting Narratives, from July 6-29.

AMHERST, Mass. – Christine B. McCormick has been named dean of the School of Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The announcement was made by Charlena M. Seymour, provost and senior vice chancellor for academic affairs, after a national search. McCormick succeeds Andrew Effrat, who has served as interim dean since May 2002, and will begin her new duties September 1.
