AMHERST, Mass. – The Graduate School at the University of Massachusetts Amherst held its Commencement ceremony this afternoon in the William D. Mullins Memorial Center. Degrees were conferred on more than 1,200 master’s and doctoral candidates.
AMHERST, Mass. – The stage at Bowker Auditorium at the University of Massachusetts Amherst was decorated with flowers for the 84th Commencement of the Stockbridge School this afternoon, May 27. Associate’s degrees were conferred on 100 students in six majors: arboriculture and park management; equine industries; fruit and vegetable crops; horticulture; landscape contracting; and turfgrass management.
Alumnus William E. Mahoney of Wilton, Conn., a retired business executive and current adjunct professor of Chemistry, will receive the campus’s Distinguished Achievement Award at Commencement on May 28.
An interdisciplinary team of graduate students has won $45,000 for its proposal for a new company that would develop drug delivery platforms for targeting cancer and making chemotherapy more effective.
