AMHERST, Mass. – Leaders in media, politics, education and technology will examine the future and sustainability of journalism, democracy, and communities in the Internet age at a conference at the University of Massachusetts Amherst this summer.

"The Letter," an award-winning documentary by Ziad Hamzeh examining issues of race, immigration and change in a New England town, will be shown Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in the Cape Cod Lounge of the Student Union.
"Priming the Pump for Innovation," a two-part program for industry represnetatives interested in innovation-based growth and faculty interested in innovation-based student projects and technology commercialization, will be held Thursday, April 20 in the Mullins Center''s Massachusetts Room.
Several accomplished alumni from the sports media world will speak about careers at “UMass SportsNight: Tips and Tales from Careers in Sports Media” on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center’s Bluewall.
