"Working for Non-Profits: Finding Careers in the Common Good," an informal seminar about creating a career that makes a difference, is being offered on Wednesday, Feb. 8, noon to 1 p.m. in the Suffolk Room of the Student Union.
The annual Day of Percussion will be held Saturday, Feb. 11 in 36 Fine Arts Center. The day is coordinated by Eduardo Leandro and Thomas Hannum and will focus on Latin percussions through a series of workshops and mini-concerts from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Kiran Bhowmik’s “Colors of My Soul, Textures of My Spirit” will be displayed from Feb. 9 through March 9 in the Augusta Savage Gallery in New Africa House. Opening reception is on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 5-7 p.m.
Peter Kaminsky of the University of Connecticut will give a talk, “The Child on the Couch; or, towards a (psycho)analysis of Ravel’s ‘L’Enfant et les sortileges,’” on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 12:20 p.m. in Bezanson Recital Hall.
“Looking Forward/Looking Back,” a series of public dialogues with artists and curators from the University Gallery’s 30-year exhibition history, will culminate with a conversation between artist Judy Pfaff and curator Helaine Posner on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Concert Hall.
