AMHERST, Mass. – Two University of Massachusetts Amherst graduate students have won an international competition with a design for the Olympic Forest Park of the 2008 Summer Olympics to be held in Beijing, China.
Brian Burrell, a lecturer in the Mathematics and Statistics Department, will read from his new book, “Postcards from the Brain Museum,” on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Odyssey Bookshop in South Hadley.
Dan Kibe, a technical specialist in Food Science who recently returned from a tour of duty as an Air Force Reserve medic in Iraq, will discuss his experiences on "Upfront!" on WMUA, 91.1 FM on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 6-6:30 p.m.
