The Northeast Alliance and the University of Massachusetts Amherst hold a Fall Recruiting Weekend. Students join us for a first-hand look at the graduate program opportunities in the areas of science, mathematics and engineering. They are able to tour laboratories and meet with faculty, students and staff who talk about their research and graduate programs.

The Northeast Alliance holds the NEA-Day every year, in which minority students plus their mentors from the Alliance institutions gather to exchange ideas and best practices on student recruitment and retention, graduate student hurdles, mentoring practices, and life after the doctorate. Students present posters of their research work and have ample time to mingle with faculty, guests, and other students during the course of the day.
