• Over 200 concerts annually featuring faculty, guest artists from around the world and advanced student ensembles. Events are free to music and dance majors and minors.

UMass Amherst Fine Arts Center Concerts

• Nationally and internationally-acclaimed orchestras, jazz artists, chamber ensembles, recitalists, ballet and modern dance companies, Broadway shows, opera and world music groups such as the Academy of Ancient Music, National Philharmonic of Russia, Teatro Lirico D'Europa, Trinity Irish Dance, National Acrobats of China, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Shakespeare & Company, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Monterey Jazz Festival, Soweto Gospel Choir, Christian McBride Band and many more. Specially-priced student tickets are available.

Department & Fine Arts Center Masterclasses and Workshops

• Workshops & Masterclasses are given by renowned performers, ensembles and teachers, singers, jazz artists and instrumentalists such as cellist Bernard Greenhouse, the Ronald K. Brown/Evidence Dance Company, Imani Winds, Bamidele Dancers & Drummers, soprano Lisa Saffer and trumpeter Charles Schleuter. These events are free to all UMass Amherst students.
