Top UMass Wind, Jazz Ensembles to Perform in Early October

On October 6, the Wind Ensemble, the University’s premiere wind and percussion group, will present their first concert of the fall semester at 7:30 p.m in the Fine Arts Center Concert Hall.

On October 13, the Jazz Ensemble I, the top jazz ensemble at UMass Amherst, will make its fall debut at 7:30 p.m. in Bowker Auditiorium.

On Tuesday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m., saxophonist Jonathan Hulting-Cohen and pianist Nadine Shank will present a concert entitled On the Edge.

On Wednesday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. (with Pre-Concert Talk at 6:45), composer and saxophonist Felipe Salles will present his Interconnections Ensemble, a jazz big band that fuses Brazilian and European traditions.
