MUSIC THEORY; LECTURER

Rob Schultz received his Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of Washington in 2009. He previously taught Music Theory and Aural Skills at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and the University of Washington.

Dr. Schultz has presented his research at regional, national, and international conferences throughout Europe and North America, and his articles have appeared in Music Theory Spectrum and the edited volume Music Theory and Interdisciplinarity, published by Pfau-Verlag. He is also co-editor of the online journal Analytical Approaches to World Music. His research interests include musical contour theory, the temporal phenomenology of music, and the analysis of popular music.
