Named after the legendary University of Michigan Saxophone Professor, the Donald Sinta Quartet was First Prize Winner of the 2013 CAG Victor Elmaleh Competition, as well as the 2013 Coleman Chamber Music and 2012 North American Saxophone Alliance Quartet Competitions.
The Quartet commissions and premieres new compositions regularly, and its programming mixes these contemporary works with standards from the saxophone quartet literature and transcriptions by master composers such as Dvorak, Schubert, and Shostakovich.
