Nigel Coxe was awarded the Bach Prize adjudicated by the eminent English pianist & Bach exponent Dame Myra Hess, while he was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Professor Coxe's words about the concert: "It is my desire to give our audience an opportunity, which is not too common, to hear Bach's masterpiece, the Well-Tempered Clavier, Book 1, Preludes & Fugues. The work is the bedrock of all later keyboard music and has been crucial to my life and work."
