PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE    (To audition, please contact Prof. Kataoka)
Ayano Kataoka, director
Performs percussion music for ensembles of all shapes and sizes, including classic 20th century works by composers such as Steve Reich, John Cage, Gardner Read, Iannis Xenakis, Lukas Ligeti and Carlos Chavez.

UMASS MARIMBA ENSEMBLES

Perform Classical transcriptions and contemporary selections designed especially for marimba choir.

MASS MARIMBA BANDS

With the addition of other instruments such as bass and drums, these ensembles deliver an appealing mix of Latin, jazz and contemporary arrangements.
