Chamber ensembles are open to all UMass Amherst students, subject to auditions held at the beginning of each semester. All chamber ensembles appear in concert on campus several times a year. Chamber ensembles also perform off-campus at area special events and school outreach concerts.
OPUS ONE CHAMBER ENSEMBLE

A conductorless Chamber Orchestra, featuring varied repertoire from Baroque through Contemporary periods.
DOUBLE REED ENSEMBLE

Oboists and bassoonists perform original works for double reed instruments.

Performs a variety of music written or arranged for trombones.
CHAMBER JAZZ ENSEMBLES
Jazz Faculty and Jazz Graduate students, directors/coaches
Multiple ensembles perform standard and student-written materials in concert and weekly recital settings.

Prof. Schween and her undergraduate and graduate cello students perform together. Performances include collaborations with guest artists and additional faculty.

The Department has a wide range of chamber ensembles scheduled each semester. These may include:
