In Honor of our Celebration:
The 75th Anniversary Music Scholarship

We've created a new scholarship, the 75th Anniversary Music Scholarship Fund, to celebrate the Program's rich history, AND provide support for current and incoming students. To remain vibrant, and attract and retain the very best high school musicians, we must offer scholarships that enable us to compete with the offers made by other college and university music programs.

Please consider making your gift to the 75th Anniversary Music Scholarship Fund. The gift can be in honor or memory of a favorite professor, a family member or friend, or another alum. Thank you!

Clicking on the 75th Anniversary Scholarship Fund link or the "Make a Gift" button will take you to the UMass Amherst online giving page, with the Gift Designation already defined as that Fund.

An Invitation from Laura Klock

Laura Klock

Calling all horns! Won't you join us for a final chance to meet and play on the weekend of April 11 & 12, while you're here on the UMass campus for the 75th Anniversary celebrations?

We'll have an open horn choir reading at 2pm on Saturday, April 12 in Room 36, between the 12:30pm alumni lunch in the Campus Center Amherst Room and the 4pm concert in the FAC Concert Hall.

If you haven't played in a while, dust off your instrument or let me know if you need to borrow one. I can send out music ahead if you contact me, but it's just to have some fun and a little horn-time!   In any case, I hope you'll come to say hi even if you're there just to see fellow classmates and renew friendships.

If you'll email me by April 6 to let me know you're coming, I'll be sure to have enough music for all.  Otherwise, just show up and surprise me!
Looking forward to catching up with you all,

Laura Klock (laklock@music.umass.edu)

PS I'm retiring in May and we're having terrific finalists on our campus to interview, play and give master classes.  UMass has been a great place to be for these many years, and I'm now happy to give someone else a turn!
