First-Year Students Mentoring Program

2013-2014

Hello, sophomores and juniors!

The CMASS First-Year Students Mentoring Program is looking for volunteers to become mentors in the 2013-2014 academic year. The objective of the Mentoring Program is to match incoming freshmen ALANA and first-generation college students with seasoned UMass students who can help guide them through the adjustment period to college, make connections on campus, find their way around campus services/resources and the area, and develop valuable skills such as academic/social life balance, time management, and setting SMART goals.

The Mentoring Program offers valuable leadership experience and is a great way share your personal experience and to give back to other ALANA students on campus.
If you think you might want to make a difference for an incoming student next year, and forward on some of what you’ve learned in college so far, please APPLY HERE:
https://umassamherst.collegiatelink.net/form/start/15872.

We will be taking applications during the week of October 29th-November 2nd, and then the application link will close, so if you are interested, please apply now! We will be scheduling interviews once the applications close.

Thanks for your interest and hope to speak with you soon!
