Academic Support

One of life’s biggest lessons is to know when to go for help and where to go to get it. You made it to UMass Amherst so we know you belong here. Now, we want to make sure that you maximize your time here. Here’s how we can help: we advocate for you with the Bursar’s Office, Financial Aid Office and the Registrar’s Office; conduct pre-advising preparation meetings; inform you about important academic deadlines and provide counsel and encouragement to keep you on track. Cultural Enrichment

Cultural Enrichment focuses on expanding and deepening your intentional learning skills while supporting cultural sustainability and intellectual diversity. Our student staff works to enhance programming for cultural awareness theme months, provide opportunities for co-curricular social and mentoring engagement with faculty and staff, supports student initiated collaboration between cultural registered student organizations (RSOs), and develops their own cultural programs and activities. Our staff also develops concepts for alternative spring breaks consideration, and engages in collaborative programs with the Center for Student Development, the Fine Arts Center, Five Colleges cultural events, academic departments, and the local community.
