Current Bargaining Proposals

Want a good contract? Show up at Board of Trustees Chair Steve Tocco's address to the Faculty Senate:
Thursday, May 3, 1:30, Thompson 102.

Tocco is not the obstacle to a good contract but he can powerfully influence the Chancellor and Provost who so far have been unwilling to agree to our proposals that address inequities (conditions for contract faculty, salary anomalies) and advance the University (through flexible/better-funded sabbatical leaves and a phased retirement system).

Our next bargaining session to discuss these issues is scheduled for May 1st, and we have insisted that progress be made. We plan to report back to you after we meet with the administration to let you know what movement has been made, and what kind of action we will need to take at Thursday’s Faculty Senate meeting. No matter what, we will need MSP members there in force -- to show our concern about getting a good contract, completed on time.
