This stereo image (for crossed eyes) shows RasMol's rendering of double
bonds. In reality, the double bonds would be delocalized due to
resonance, but RasMol currently has no way to represent this. In order
to show double bonds, RasMol requires that CONECT records be included
in the PDB file (see details in the FAQ). This image was generated from alprazol.pdb*. The original PDB (without
CONECT records) was obtained from Dave Woodcock's Chemistry
Site at Okanagan U College, BC CA, where you can find additional
information about the antianxiety drug Alprazolam (Xanax, Upjohn) and
its pharmacology.
*Note that Chime (ver. 0.9c) does not display double bonds.
