Protein Explorer (PE)

The purpose of this page is to give a complete list, in one place, of the ConSurf-PE documentation. This document, and all documents linked below, are accessible from links within PE when a ConSurf job result is displayed at the ConSurf Server (in Tel-Aviv Israel). The present list facilitates getting an overview of the provided documentation, which may be difficult to grasp from the links scattered elsewhere.

ConSurf Job Information can be summarized by PE (even when PE displays the ConSurf results from a downloaded ConSurf PDB file). To see this, display any ConSurf Job in PE, or one of the built-in ConSurf Job examples. Then, scroll down the control panel until you see the link to ConSurf Job Information, near the bottom.
Insufficient Data: Help and FAQ. A link to this help labeled Insufficient Data appears in the control panel whenever the ConSurf result includes some residues with insufficient data.

For display in PE, ConSurf results are formatted as a Presentation in PE, or PiPE. Therefore applicable is most of PE's
PiPE Documentation.
ConSurf results are incorporated into a special portion of the PDB file called the PDB file header. This special portion is called the PiPE Block and can be displayed from a link in PE's control panel when viewing a ConSurf result in PE.
