About Our Researchers
The Muscle Biology and Imaging Lab is led by Priscilla M. Clarkson, Professor of Kinesiology and consists of a team of graduate and undergraduate researchers. Recent research projects have investigated genetic factors associated with metabolic syndrome, the effects of low and high dose atorvastatin on exercise-induced muscle injury, and gene expression in response to muscle perturbations. The lab has collaborated with a number of agencies and organizations on studies involving the mechanisms of human skeletal muscle tissue in response to exercise stress.
